Dreamers and doers, this is for you
The American Dream is the belief that anyone, regardless of where they were born or what class they were born into, can attain their version of success in a society where upward mobility is possible for everyone. The American Dream is achieved through sacrifice, risk-taking, and hard work, rather than by chance.
As business leaders heading into the last two weeks of Q3 and entering the final 92 days of this year, now more than ever is the time to sacrifice, take calculated risks, work hard and finish the year strong, rather than leave the results to chance. Ending with momentum will give lift-off to next year.
It doesn’t matter whether you are succeeding or struggling in business. This is crunch time. This is when people who are ahead, think they have “the game in the bag” and slack off, while others can’t see a way to win, and give up. This is a time of opportunity!
The American Dream was founded by a collection of dreamers and doers. These people never gave up. They possessed an unshakeable belief in what is possible, regardless of the situation. Despite the odds. So can we! Some of the greatest examples of comeback victories are in sports. Michael Jordan of the Chicago Bulls sunk 25 game-winning shots in his NBA career. Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks is tied for the most 4th-quarter comebacks (21) and game-winning drives (27) since entering the league in 2012, including the postseason. In sports, the game isn’t over until the buzzer rings. In business, that buzzer doesn’t sound until December 31.
